ANCE-Togo at the Heart of the Renewal of the EITI-Togo Civil Society College

ANCE-TOGO, the national representative of Transparency International, is actively participating in the process of renewing the membership of the EITI-Togo Civil Society College for the 2026–2029 term. These efforts aim to strengthen the College’s governance by adopting its bylaws, defining criteria for selecting representatives, establishing the executive committee, and appointing civil society representatives to the EITI Multi-Stakeholder Group.

The proceedings dedicated to renewing civil society representation within the EITI-Togo governance bodies took place from June 30 to July 2, 2026, in Lomé, following the preparatory meeting held on June 24, 2026, at the headquarters of the EITI Technical Secretariat.

ANCE-Togo, represented at these sessions by Mr. Samiroudine OURO SAMA, a member of its Board of Directors, is actively participating in this process. Through its contributions to discussions and exchanges, our organization reaffirms its commitment to transparency, good governance, and the fight against corruption in the management of extractive resources. For ANCE-Togo, the quality of civil society representation is an essential factor in ensuring participatory, credible, and independent governance within EITI-Togo. Its involvement in this process thus reflects its commitment. Our involvement in this process thus reflects our commitment to helping strengthen accountability mechanisms and promote transparent management of natural resources, for the benefit of all citizens.
