Anti-Environmental Crime Platform (PACE)

ANCE ensures the Technical Coordination of the Anti-Environmental Crime Platform (PACE), a coalition of twenty civil society organizations in Togo comprising NGOs, investigative journalists, and labour unions.

This Platform was created in September 2024 with financial support from Transparency International as part of the implementation of the project “Climate Change Mitigation through the Fight Against Corruption in the Wildlife Sector,” and aims to eradicate environmental crime (green corruption) in Togo.

The main objective is to improve transparency, integrity, and accountability in climate policy and governance frameworks so that climate efforts are protected from corruption and can effectively reach the most vulnerable groups.

PACE’s activities include raising awareness among public authorities and citizens about the impacts of green corruption and the need to combat it; capacity building for stakeholders; conducting studies; advocacy; and more.
