The African Wildlife Alliance (AWA) is the only Pan-African network created by Africans and for Africans, with the purpose to fighting illicit trade of wildlife species and providing sustainable innovative solutions to protect endangered emblematic species in Africa. The network is an initiative of both activists and scientists to provide to African governments innovative and sustainable solutions to tackle wildlife crimes in the continent.
AFFA was established in July 2019 and currently has twenty (20) affiliated organizations in twenty (20) countries in Africa.
The Executive Secretariat of AWA is assured by the NGO Alliance Nationale des Consommateurs et de l'Environnement (ANCE-Togo).
